Notes on GTM, marketing, career and other side quests

Inspired by Uses This, this page documents the tools and software I use to get things done.

Hardware

  • MacBook Air, 13-inch, M2, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage: Personal computer, and still a beast even in 2026.
  • MacBook Air, 13-inch, M4, 24 GB RAM, 512 GB storage: Work laptop. It is a beast for sure, but for some reason starts lagging badly on Zoom calls longer than 30 minutes. Turns out that is because it does not have active cooling. The keyboard travel is not as good as my M2 Air. Performance-wise though, this is a huge level up.
  • Samsung M8 Monitor: My monitor and TV. Easily one of the best purchases I have made.
  • Apple Watch SE: Got this in 2022 and it still runs pretty well. I use it to log my workouts. Funnily enough, not to see the time.
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: Got the base model, and it runs really well. The titanium body is a huge plus.
  • AirPods Pro 2: Got this in 2022. It is terrific and has survived a thousand falls, not kidding.
  • iPad Air, M1, 11-inch: Used to be a replacement for a TV in 2022 when I lived alone abroad. In 2026, it continues to be a glorified Kindle and TV. I have the Apple Pencil too, but I rarely use it.
  • Apple HomePod mini: Terrific speaker.
  • Logitech MX Master 3S, MX Keys, and palm rest: The best keyboard and mouse combo. Expensive, but I can type the fastest on it.

Software

  • Apple Books and Kindle: Apple Books because I used to pirate ebooks out of Library Genesis until it shut down. I then bought a Kindle subscription.
  • Google Chrome: Daily driver. I have tried Comet, Dia, Helium, Safari, and others. Nothing beats the portability and reliability of Chrome.
  • Claude and Codex: I am a huge terminal guy, so I use most AI models from there.
  • CodexBar: Helps me monitor my Codex and Claude code usage from my menu bar.
  • Obsidian: This is the age of AI and Markdown files. I prefer software that I can truly own, customize, and that is mostly open source or free. Obsidian has been my daily driver for 5+ years. I sync everything via iCloud.
  • Quartr: To listen to earnings calls.
  • Passwords, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music: I pay for Apple One, and their suite is unparalleled.
  • Perplexity: Got it free for a year via Airtel.
  • Letterboxd: Huge movie buff, so I catalog my movies there.
  • YouTube Premium: Highest ROI subscription ever.
  • Apple TV, Netflix, JioHotstar, and Mubi: For movies and TV shows.
  • GitHub, GitHub Pages, and Jekyll: My website is hosted on these. It is free.
  • Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace: Irreplaceable for office comms.
  • Base44: Vibe coding landing pages.
  • SwanAI: Automating GTM workflows, lead scoring, lead distribution, and automated outreach.
  • Clay, Apollo, and KitAI: Scraping and enrichment.
  • Podpitch: To get my founder featured on podcasts and handle podcast distribution.
  • HubSpot: CRM and social media scheduling.
  • Figma: Designing. Daily driver for 7+ years now.
  • Webflow: Website builder and hosting.
  • Veed: Video editing and recording.
  • Screen Studio: To create GIFs and do quick video recording.
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Semrush: Website traffic, tagging, SEO, AEO, and GEO.
  • MCPs and skills: Playwright, marketing-skills.com, skills.sh, GA4, GSC, and the Figma MCP.
  • Mole: Combines CleanMyMac, AppCleaner, DaisyDisk, and iStat Menus in a single binary. I run this via terminal.
  • OpenCode: Backup for when I run out of rate limits. I use Ollama, Qwen, MiniMax, and other models.

Other

  • Furniture (Ikea): Medium-quality stuff, but it is super portable, cost-effective, and functional.
  • Under Armour: 95% of my wardrobe is from UA. Expensive, but insanely functional. It does not fade or tear easily, and even the athleisure looks classy and comfortable in formal settings.
